01.06 Upgrading UNItekTIME on local server

To upgrade locally installed version of UNItekTIME:

  1. Take a backup of UNItekTIME folder and database before the upgrade.
  2. Uninstall existing UNItekTIME version from add/remove program in control panel. Uninstall will not remove UNItekTIME configuration files and database files. Do not delete any files manually from the UNItekTIME installation folder.
  3. Install UNItekTIME new version.
  4. Launch UNItekTIME. On the first launch, UNItekTIME will first upgrade existing database with new changes and then will reach to login page after upgrade. This process will take about 1 or 2 minutes.
  5. User can now login in UNItekTIME as usual with their existing UNItekTIME login and password.

Upgrading UNItekTIME manually on Local Server

This option can only be opt when your installation files are not removed automatically when UNItekTIME is uninstalled through Add/Remove Program.
  • Take a backup of UNItekTIME folder and database before the upgrade.
  • Uninstall existing UNItekTIME version from add/remove program in control panel. Uninstall will not remove UNItekTIME configuration files and database files.
  • Make sure that all files beside below files and folders are removed from UNItekTIME installation folder (for example c:\inetpub\wwwroot\UNItekTIME)
    • /web.config (file)
    • /App_Data (folder)
    • /Uploads (folder)
    • /Templates (folder)
    • Do delete ExecuteScript.sql or ExecuteScript.run from /App_Data Folder.
  • Download the manual installer file from provided link.
  • Install UNItekTIME through the downloaded setup.
  • Now open “http://UNItekTIMEURL/Default.aspx” page where UNItekTIME URL should be URL pointing to UNItekTIME folder in your file system. This will launch UNItekTIME login page after taking a while in executing database upgrade script on existing database.
